Turmeric Almond Milk —  The scientific name for turmeric is curcuma longa, and actually belongs to the ginger family. It is widely cultivated in India and has been used in Ayurvedic medicine and traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years.

The active ingredient, curcumin and other chemical compounds in turmeric have numerous health benefits because they have powerful anti-inflammatory, anti-septic, anti-fungal, anti-oxidant properties. Place turmeric, oil, black pepper, and honey (if using) into an empty glass or cup. Heat 1 cup of almond milk. Pour heated almond milk into turmeric mixture. Stir and enjoy!
