Kale chips are the latest craze these days. Suddenly they seem to be everywhere, and for a hefty price. If you don’t already make them at home you won’t believe how easy these healthy chips are to make at home, and for just a fraction of the cost.
Preheat oven to 325F
Line rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
Wash and dry the kale leaves. Remove stems by tearing off the leaves into small pieces by hand or cutting out the stem and then breaking the leaves.
Throw leaves into a large mixing bowl. Add olive oil and toss really well to make sure the leaves are well coated. It also works well doing it with your hands. Add cheese, salt and pepper to taste and toss again to mix well.
Spread leaves in a single layer on parchment lined baking sheet. Place in the oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until chips are crispy. Remove from oven and cool completely. Store at room temperature in an airtight container.
